PMW has been successfully peer reviewed by the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (“AICPA”) as administered by the New York State Society of Certified Public Accountants (“NYSSCPA”).
Financial statements prepared by PMW have been submitted to, and accepted by, HSBC, Chase Manhattan Bank (formerly Chemical Bank), Bank of America, Bank of New York, First Union National Bank, Dime Savings Bank (formerly Key Bank), North Fork Bank and Trust, Suffolk County National Bank and others.
Charles Mauner has been employed as an accountant since 1979 and has been a CPA since 1984. He joined PMW in 1985 and has been a Partner since 1988. Mr. Mauner is a member of the AICPA and NYSSCPA, as well as The Tax and Accounting Institute of the School of Professional Accountancy, Long Island University. He has a B.S. in Accounting from Ithaca College, and a M.S. in Accounting from Long Island University.
David Wess has thirty years experience in accounting and taxation. He has BBA and Master of Science in Accounting degrees from Adelphi University (Garden City, NY). He has been a Certified Public Accountant since 1978, and also holds Series 7 and 63 securities licenses. He has held insurance licenses in several states. Mr. Wess has been a Partner in PMW since 1989. Prior to joining PMW, he worked for public accounting and private firms concentrated in the real estate industry. Lynn Fleer joined PMW in 1991 and became a partner in 2006.
Jerome M. Pollan was the Founder and Managing Partner of PMW. He died in August of 2007.
Real Estate Industry Work: PMW prepares several hundred tax returns each year for clients in the real estate industry. These returns include partnership, corporations, trusts and individuals. PMW also prepares compilation financial statements for businesses and high net worth individuals in the real estate industry. Its Westchester division occupies a modern, spacious office that is fully computerized, utilizing a high speed computer network and broadband internet access. Staff includes a total of three CPA’s.
